Recreational Tennis Pathway

After-school Program

The After-School Program exposes and teaches the youth of Miami-Dade the game of tennis along with life skills and academic readiness at Moore Park year-round. Since Year 2001, First Serve Miami provides daily tennis activities such as the USTA’s “10 and Under” tennis program, recreational/intermediate tennis, physical conditioning, life skills development, and competitive tournament play at all levels.

South Florida Youth Tennis Program

In 2021, the South Florida Youth Tennis Program was launched with the generous support of USTA Foundation and USTA Florida, and it has since been making a significant impact by serving 20 diverse park communities. This dynamic program offers tennis and educational instruction on a seasonal basis, introducing children to the exciting world of tennis. To further enrich our community, the Tennis-In-School Initiative forges strong partnerships between First Serve Miami and its dedicated Community Coaches, enhancing tennis activities within their schools.

Since its inception in 2008, the Adopt-A-Player Program has empowered economically and socially challenged young athletes to shine on both local and national stages, harnessing their remarkable talent and academic potential to pave the way for college opportunities.
