First Serve Miami Program is designed to help build our youth to become future champions in education, athletics, work and life. We follow USTA Player Development's core values which are confidence, determination, engagement, professionalism, resiliency, respect, and toughness.
Starting in 2008, has given economically and socially challenged highly competitive children the opportunity to compete locally and nationally with the goal of using their talent and academics to attend college. To date, between Moore Park and Bryan Park forty-six (48) of forty-seven (49) graduating seniors have received scholarships to attend higher institutions of learning such as, Texas State University, St. Thomas University, Princeton, Florida International University, ASA College, University of Miami, Saint Peter’s University, Bethune-Cookman University, University of Pennsylvania, Boston College, Vanderbilt and many more.
After-school Program exposes and teaches the youth of Miami-Dade the game of tennis along with life skills and academic readiness at community parks. Since Year 2001, First Serve Miami provides daily tennis activities such as the USTA’s “10 and Under” tennis program, recreational/intermediate tennis, physical conditioning, life skills development, and competitive tournament play at all levels.
In-School Program establishes a collaboration between First Serve Miami and other organizations such as, public schools, private schools and charter schools. First Serve Miami’s tennis instructors, who are skilled introduces and teaches tennis to hundreds of children during physical education classes, summer programs, and at other times based on availability.
